Great 1Password tip for iOS Users

We now have at least a handful of iOS users in our group. If you have an iOS device and you use 1Password (and you should), this is for you.

As I mentioned briefly in last month'e meeting, iOS apps are "sandboxed" from each other. This is great for security, but it makes communication between apps somewhat inconvenient.

Here is a link to how to create a javascript bookmarklet in Mobile Safari that will take you right into the 1Password app to make entering your password that much quicker. It does this by prepending 'op' to the current URL (http becomes ophttp). Many mobile browsers support this URL scheme for jumping to 1Password.

BTW, The next NCC-Mac meeting is this coming Thursday, February 28, 4:30 PM, Langlois Library. I'll be sending out the formal announcement "Real Soon Now."
