NCC-Mac August 2013 Meeting Announcement

The next meeting of the North Curry County Macintosh Users is Thursday, August 29, 4:30 PM at the Langlois Library.

This month's topic is "OS X's Baked-in Security Features."

I also have a show-and-tell item, so it would only be fair to invite anyone else who has a new tech-oriented toy to bring it in.

Good day, everyone!

We'll keep this short and sweet. If the news of our 50%-off sale this week escaped your notice, or if you haven't yet found the time to take a spin through our catalog, check it out today, before the offer expires at the end of August 15th. Use this coupon-loaded link to get started:

Security Freakout for Chrome Users

If you're a Google Chrome browser fan, have a look at this Chrome's insane password security strategy article, then take a look at <chrome://settings/passwords> just to see how easy it is for someone to walk up to your computer and browse your passwords. Scary, yes? Oh, and by the way, Google says it's no big deal, and they don't plan on doing anything about a security hole big enough to drive an RV through.
